After photographing UAB School of Medicine’s newly appointed dean, Dr. Agarwal, for his debut editorial feature in his office, I reconnected with a long-term acquaintance. Although Dr. Agarwal was newly appointed as dean, he had many years of experience in his field. My previous role at UAB placed me frequently in the dean’s office, so I recognized how valuable strong visual art is to their administrative work.

I shared some of my best pieces with the office, including Snowing at The Alabama Theatre (2017), shot on film and printed on metallic paper. Dr. Agarwal expressed interest in purchasing a set to include in the thank-you bags they give visiting high-profile doctors, professionals, and city guests.
